Process Expertise


With a wealth of experience in powder and particle processing, we specialise in identifying, designing, and optimising the most efficient solutions for each application. We currently do not supply equipment directly; instead, focussing on applying deep process knowledge to select and configure the best technologies, ensuring robust, energy-efficient, and cost-effective outcomes. Our expertise includes:

  • Crushing
    Skilled in primary and secondary size reduction techniques, we assess raw materials and recommend the most suitable crushing solutions to provide consistent feed for downstream processes.

  • Milling
    Extensive knowledge of all major milling technologies allows us to advise on the most efficient and practical milling route:
    • High speed: Impact mills such as Hosokawa ACM and Atritor mills.
    • Medium speed: Table and roller mills, ring-roller mills such as Lopulco, Bradley, and Raymond mills.
    • Low speed: Ball mills, suited to controlled and fine grinding applications.
    • No speed: Jet mills such as AFG fluidised-bed jet mills, providing ultra-fine, contamination-free particle size reduction.

  • Air Classification
    Proficiency in a wide range of classifiers enables us to design systems that achieve the required cut-point with maximum efficiency. We have experience with:
    • High-efficiency ultra-fine classifiers for precise separations below 15-20 µm.
    • Whizzer classifiers for medium-fineness applications.
    • Static and unit air classifiers for simpler, robust operations.
    • Depending on the application, air classification can achieve cuts from 90% < 250 µm down to 98% < 2–3 µm, enabling tight control over product performance.
  • Screening
    We apply a range of screening technologies to achieve accurate particle separations and protect downstream equipment:
    • Vibratory screens for versatile grading.
    • Ultrasonic screens for very fine, difficult-to-separate powders.
    • Tumbler screening for gentle but high-capacity classification.
    • Rotary sifters for scalping and safety screening.
    • Our role is to recommend the most appropriate technology for efficiency, reliability, and ease of operation.

  • Filtration & Cyclones
    Specialising in gas–solid separation, we advise on solutions to minimise dust loading, recover product, and maintain air quality. Our expertise includes:
    • Reverse-jet filters and baghouses for high-efficiency fine particle capture.
    • Cyclones as pre-separators or primary collection devices for coarser fractions.
    • We focus on integrating these systems to balance efficiency, pressure drop, and maintenance requirements.
  • Drying
    Our experience covers a broad range of drying technologies, allowing us to select the most efficient method for each material:
    • Rotary dryers for robust materials, high-throughput applications.
    • Fluid bed dryers for uniform, efficient drying.
    • Spray dryers for precise particle engineering and powder production.
    • Combined drying and grinding systems, which deliver excellent efficiency by reducing moisture and particle size in a single step.

  • Calcination
    Deep understanding of thermal treatment processes allows us to specify calcination conditions that modify physical and chemical properties to meet customer requirements.

  • Mixing
    Expertise in powder blending technologies ensures homogeneity and consistency, critical for both performance and downstream processing.
